When you think about Dorset, luxury and glamour aren’t probably top of the list in whatever came to your mind. In fact, this English county is better known by its beautiful rural landscapes and its beaches. Some dinosaur enthusiasts may even know it because of its “Jurassic Coast”, a World Heritage site where plenty of fossils from Earth’s ancient times were discovered.
But there’s a new side of Dorset that’s yet to be discovered. People in the UK will be familiar with its holiday resorts, though that’s probably not the case for tourists outside the UK, who probably don’t even look at the British Isles as somewhere to go to enjoy the sun and the beach. But there are luxury hotels in Dorset that are willing to go that extra mile in making the county look more attractive to the tourist in search of something more glamorous for his or her holiday experience.
When you look at Dorset’s magnificent countryside or at the amazing beaches with stunning geological formations, like the Durdle Door near Lulworth, you can’t really help but wonder how there aren’t more people visiting this area every year. Hopefully that will all change very soon, as Dorset grows in importance and puts its name on the tourist map.
