On the 12th of November 2011, the day is finally there for the big WBO Welterweight boxing championship at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Juan Manuel Marquez II and Manny Pacquiao will battle it out in the ring. It is truly set to be a fight not to be missed and you may wonder if there is any way for you to get there from Vancouver.

You will be happy to hear that travelling by airplane is the quickest and regularly also the cheapest option available to you. At least four direct flights depart from Vancouver Airport each day, at the following times:

10.30am with Westjet

3.25pm with Philippine Airlines

5.40pm with Air Canada

6.00pm with Westjet

Flights only take around 2 hours and 40 minutes. There are many websites and travel agents that you could go to in order to find some excellent deals on these flights.

Your alternative, of course, would be to drive from Vancouver to Las Vegas. The distance from Vancouver in Canada to Las Vegas is 2,035 kilometres, which should take you around 21 hours. Of course, this is a very long drive, but if you are going to see the fighting action with a group of friends, it is possible to take turns driving whilst another sleeps of course.

Of course, as long as you are travelling to Las Vegas, you may want to take some additional time off to explore the wonders of the city itself, in which case driving is once again a great option. Although the distance is not exactly around the corner, having your own car does mean you have quite a bit of freedom of movement. Of course, it would also immediately be the ultimate road trip, with an amazing boxing match at the end of it.

For those that remain in Vancouver we recommend Pacquiao Marquez live streaming!

As you can see, regardless of your own location in the United Kingdom, you should be able to find an airport from where you can fly to Las Vegas in order to enjoy the boxing match. All of these airports offer direct flights to Las Vegas, so you can sit down in comfort and dream of the upcoming fight, of course! Flights are still available from all of the top airports above but as the date gets nearer this may change.

Flights, however, are not cheap but if you are a boxing enthusiast, the price of the airplane ticket will more than likely be worth it! Of course, as long as you are in Las Vegas, you may as well enjoy some of the sights that are on offer there – especially the casinos!

In case that you miss the fight you can get a Mayweather vs Ortiz live stream and see it online!

Despite the millions of tourists that flock to New York all to see the same famous buildings and Central Park, you can choose a less main stream vacation. New York is one of the most common tourists destinations for travelers from all over the world. But besides the city center, there is so much more to discover on the outskirts of this great state. Here are a few descriptions of a hand full of the regions, and what you can find there.

The Thousand Island region actually contains nearly two thousand islands, and they provide great sailing, boating, white water rafting, golfing, tennis, fishing and hiking. One island, shaped like a heart, is home to the Boldt Castle, and is a monument to a real life love story.

In the Greater Niagara Falls region, you will find more than just a couple crowded waterfalls. This is home to the Jell-O museum, and many attractions. There is the Six Flags Darien Lake Theme Park, as well as Letchworth State Park, and a Metrorail system that goes through downtown Buffalo.

Texas has plenty of attractions to keep you busy, whether you are travelling with your family or some friends. From amusement parks to shopping, no matter what your interests are, you can find it in Texas.

If you want a legitimate “Texas experience” you have to visit a rodeo. From roping calves or trick riding bulls, a rodeo is the real deal. This may be the one thing you do in Texas that people will keep asking you about. But for a more hands on attraction, visit a Dude Ranch and really get your hands dirty. You can learn to ride and how to earn your keep on a real farm.

There are plenty of amusement parks if that is your fancy. Six Flags can be found in both Arlington and San Antonio. They are usually open 10 months out of the year, and closed from January to March. They are home to the famous rides like Goliath and Boomerang, to really get your blood pumping.

If you are looking for the beach, there is 600 miles of coast with the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Food and drink stands are often available, with play areas for the kids, which is ideal for travelling families.
